THE HOPE KINGDOM IS FREE AT LAST!!!

Go!Princess Precure - Episode 47:

My Own Review

THE HOPE KINGDOM IS FREE AT LAST!!!

EVERYONE (unison): Royal Majesty!!!

The purple songbird gives Haruka some seeds...

...which, unexpectedly, spring up and bloom as soon as they have been sown.
To Haruka, who knows a lot of things about plants and gardening, it seems rather strange.

CURE TWINKLE & CURE SCARLET: Cure Flora!!

The devastorg is soon reduced to padlock mode...

...and subsequently destroyed with Grand Printemps.

In the end, the four rainbows have converged on the Dysdark palace, filling it with colour and erasing it.

KANATA: The Hope Kingdom...

The streets of the towns are colourful and peaceful once more.

But the denizens of the HK, and the King and Queen, are still trapped beyond the Door of Despair.

CURE SCARLET: Our country is revived!!!

KANATA: Now all that we have to do is open the Door of Despair.
(To free his parents and subjects, who are trapped beyond it. So come on!)

MME SHAMOUR: After I heard what Cure Flora said about princesses, I think there is nothing more I can teach you. Mes leçons sont finies!

AT LAST, THE HK IS FREE!!! (Pops a bottle of Moët and begins to pour herself a glass)... Now all to do, as Kanata said, is to free the royal pair and their subjects! But... Is that Lady Dyspear I hear...? and does she say... (Pause.) SEVEN GODS!!! (Drains her cup at one fell swoop)

DYSPEAR: I have no business for the Hope Kingdom, I give it back to you.

"You can have the Hope Kingdom. Earth is my prize now!" Finally, the HK had been completely freed from Dysdark rule, and all that was left to do was freeing the trapped subjects of the Kingdom. Dyspear then suddenly announces that she is no longer interested in the HK and teleports herself before Noble Academy.
So yes, we have reached our purpose... but it ain't over till the dark lady sings. And I'm all like WHAM. I did not at all expect that Spanish Inquisition. I'm like this: (*O*): Eyes like oranges, maw like an open oven, brain teeming with sudden questions about the Dysdarks. So... Next episode will be the beginning of the finale... But why did Dyspear leave the Hope Kingdom, where she would give the last stand, and head for our dimension? What is the Dysdark backstory and real agenda!? Like in every season, it will be revealed during the finale. And the finale is coming...

MY OWN HUMBLE OPINION:

On Close's use of the Lotus Eater gambit: Trap your enemies in their personal wonderlands? That gambit, ever since Homer wrote about the Lotus Eaters centuries before the Common Era, has never fallen out of style. This one was based on Haruka's favourite fairytale, The Princess of Flowers, down to Close being the songbird in the story. Remember that Yume left her story unfinished, for every reader to imagine a different ending? This is Haruharu's own ending.
And the moral? That a dream is not a dream if you don't put any effort into following it, that idleness is always tiresome (I am restless by nature, so just ask me!), and that a limitless life of pleasure always winds up being monotone at the end of the day. Click here for a video that discusses this topic, a must if you like philosophy.

On the Prince Charming in the Lotus Eater dimension: Sexappeal has always to be present in a Lotus Eater dimension, and here we get an eye-candy (male 'cause meant for a straight female victim) of marvellous and foreign beauty (Nordic looks, attractively exotic to the Japanese) clothed sharply in an elegant period costume. Like something out of my own daydreams... Like Ayaka, Seira, and Reiko, the character also reminds me of myself, with that golden hair and those honey eyes... like a spear counterpart of me.

In the end, the four rainbows have converged on the Dysdark palace, filling it with colour and erasing it.

NEXT EPISODE (48):

EVERYONE IS SHOCKED. ESPECIALLY RANKO.

THE STAGE IS SET FOR THE FINAL BATTLE.

STOP AND FREEZE GET READY FOR THE KILL.

SHUT IS WONDERING WHETHER TO SUPPORT THE PRECURES.

LOCK IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE

LET THE FINAL STAND BEGIN!
(GoT OPENING MUSIC)

Anyway, the series is FIFTY episodes long, and we're on 47, with 48 next up, so the finale will be a three-parter. And here is a little sneak preview of what is to come... Episode 49 will feature the Dysdark backstory, and Lady Dyspear will absorb Close as well. And what the seven hells will happen to Shut??? Will he turn coat? Will he survive? I am hanging on the edge of my seat!

EP. 48: When our heroes return from the Hope Kingdom, Dyspear declares, "I will rule this world," after making her appearance at Noble Academy. Allowing the other students to witness their transformations, the Precures engage in their final battle with Dyspear.
Noble Academy is enveloped in thorns by the hands of Dysdarks. Though our heroines stand up against them, the students of the academy witness their transformations, exposing their identities as the Precures.
EP. 49 (We get the Dysdark agenda and backstory here!!!): Having absorbed Close, Dyspear transformed into a giant thorny shrub. Continuing from the Hope Kingdom, she even intends to engulf the world that our characters reside in with despair. Dyspear gives an unexpected explanation as to why she has come into existence.
The time has finally arrived for Dyspear to regain her original form, and she plans on building a new world of despair. The Precures put up a struggle in order to foil Dyspear's ambition.
The Precures are overwhelmed after getting a taste of Dyspear's true power for themselves. But when the academy's students cheer them on, the four regain their strength...
EP. 50 (Finale finale, hope it ends with a Decade into the Future flashforward)Having ended the fight with the Dysdarks, the four Precures fly back down to the earth as the students of the Academy erupt into cheer. However, there they find black feathers scattered about. It turns out that Dyspear entrusted all of her powers to Close right before vanishing. The Precures engage in their true final battle.
